AZUB Dream Trike Session.
From real riders
Why riders pick AZUB at Laid Back Cycles
Laid Back Mickey was excellent to work with and you can trust his knowledge, expertise and integrity ensuring you get a quality purchase. Although I live in San Diego, Laid Back Cycle is the place to purchase your new or next recumbent trike.
Why we carry AZUB
AZUB has been building recumbent trikes in the Czech Republic since 2000. Nothing about an AZUB is off-the-shelf. Every trike that leaves the factory is configured from frame size to seat to suspension to drivetrain for one specific person, and that build sheet is the whole point of the brand. If you want a trike that's been thought through for a body and a way of riding instead of a generic build, AZUB is on the short list.
What AZUB riders tell us once they're a few months in:
- It's your trike, not a trike. Frame size, seat type, suspension travel, drivetrain, brakes, gearing, accessories. Every choice on the build sheet is yours.
- Cutting-edge tech on trikes. AZUB's folding mechanism, the Bosch Dual-Battery system, and the list keeps going.
- The titanium suspension on the Ti-FLY rides like nothing else. 40mm of travel up front, self-stabilizing, takes road buzz out without making the trike feel soft.
HOW TO BUY
Book a time.
Pick a slot on the calendar, whichever works for you.
We talk about your body and your riding.
Where you want to ride, how far, how often. Body first, spec sheet later.
We build your AZUB together.
Start with the trike that fits the riding, then work down the build sheet. Every choice gets explained before it goes on the quote.
We order it and you ride it.
AZUB builds your trike to your spec at the factory in the Czech Republic. Four to six weeks later it lands at the shop, and we handle the final setup. We ship anywhere in the US.

Why riders trust Laid Back Cycles for AZUB
- One of the top 10 AZUB dealers in the world. A direct line to the factory in the Czech Republic, real warranty support, and the experience that comes from configuring more AZUB build sheets than almost any other shop on the planet.
- Family-owned recumbent-trike specialist in Sacramento. Trikes are what we do, every day. We do not sell upright bikes.
- Over 6,000 riders helped. Local, regional, and shipped all over the country, with 40+ trikes in stock at any time.
Common questions
Easier than the bike you learned on as a kid. You sit down, you don't have to balance, you start pedaling. Most riders are comfortable in the first five minutes. The only piece that takes a beat is the steering, and you have that figured out by the end of the parking lot.
AZUB builds your trike at the factory once we send your spec. From the day we order to the day it lands at the shop is usually four to six weeks for a standard build, longer if you've chosen an option that's on backorder. You hear the timeline before you put money down, not after.
Most likely, yes. We've built AZUB trikes for riders coming back from strokes, joint replacements, back surgeries, MS, and a long list of other things. Three wheels means no balance to worry about. The recumbent seat carries your back, hips, and shoulders so the miles don't load the places that already hurt. The build process plays in your favor here. We configure the trike around the body, not the other way around.
AZUB trikes are built to last and they last. Owners ride them for years, service them once or twice a year, and they keep performing. You're buying a trike you'll ride, not a trike you'll replace.
