The Rambler has always been the trike we point people to when comfort and capacity matter more than speed. The e+ keeps all of it: the wide chromoly seat 17.5 inches off the ground, 24 inch wheels all around, wide outriggers for a tighter turning circle, and a 400 lb combined load limit.

The Bosch Performance Line motor adds 75 Nm of torque and four assist modes, so hills that used to end a ride stop being a factor. The 400 Wh PowerPack locks digitally, the Smart LED Remote reads clearly in any light, and the eBike Flow app handles navigation, alarm and battery lock.

Who the Rambler e+ is for

You want to get outside, cover some real ground, and come home feeling better than when you left. What you don't want is a hill that ends the ride, or a seat too narrow to sit in for an hour. The Rambler e+ is the comfortable one. The wide chromoly seat sits 17.5 inches off the ground so you slide onto it instead of dropping to the pavement, the combined load limit is 400 pounds so you and your gear have room to spare, and the Bosch motor takes the climb off your knees whenever you ask it to. Comfort and capacity first. Speed is somebody else's trike.

Wide Mesh Seat

The wide chromoly seat sits 17.5 inches up and reclines anywhere from 40 to 70 degrees, and the mesh breathes so your back isn't soaked by mile ten.

Bosch Performance Line mid drive motor with 75 Nm torque on the TerraTrike Rambler e plus

75 Nm of Torque

The Bosch Performance Line motor puts out 75 Nm across four assist modes, so you pick how much of the hill you feel like doing yourself.

Bosch PowerPack 400Wh removable battery for the TerraTrike Rambler e plus electric trike

Digital Battery Lock

The Bosch PowerPack 400 lifts off so you can charge it inside, and the digital battery lock in the eBike Flow app keeps it from walking off while you're parked.

Frequently Asked Questions

That depends more on you than on the trike. The Bosch PowerPack holds 400 watt-hours, and how far that stretches comes down to which of the four assist modes you're in, how much weight you're carrying, and how many hills you're climbing. Eco gets you a long way. Turbo gets you up the climb in a hurry and drains quicker. On your Dream Trike Session we'll go through the rides you actually do and figure out whether 400 Wh covers it or you'd rather carry a spare pack.
You pedal. The Bosch Performance Line motor is pedal assist, so it reads what your legs are doing and adds to it, up to 75 Nm of torque. Most riders like that better than a throttle because it still feels like riding, you're just not fighting the hill. And if the battery runs flat, the 9-speed drivetrain is still right there and you ride home under your own steam.
400 pounds combined, rider and cargo together. That's a high ceiling for a trike, and it's the reason we point riders here when they've been told they're over the limit somewhere else. The 4130 chromoly steel frame and the wide steel-framed seat are what make that number real.
The boom adjusts for an X-seam of 37 to 47 inches, so it covers most riders from around 5 foot up to about 6 foot 4. The seat slides 2.5 inches and reclines from 40 to 70 degrees, and it sits 17.5 inches off the ground, which is high for a trike and easy on the knees and hips getting in and out. We take your measurements and dial all of that in before it ships.
It comes with the Bosch Smart LED Remote, a small L-shaped controller under your thumb that brightens and dims with the light around you, so you can still read it in full sun. If you want a color display with maps and ride data, it upgrades to the Kiox 500. Either way the eBike Flow app on your phone handles navigation, the alarm, the battery lock, and software updates.
It's 63 pounds and 76 inches long, so it isn't one you toss in the trunk. Most riders use a hitch rack rated for the weight, or a ramp into the back of an SUV or van. Tell us what you drive on the Dream Trike Session and we'll tell you what actually works with it.
