When the pavement runs out, most trikes turn around. The AZUB FAT keeps rolling. It rides on four-inch Schwalbe Jumbo Jim tires that float you over sand, snow, mud, and loose gravel where a skinny tire would dig in and stop. The frame is rigid and simple on purpose, so there's no suspension to service and all that air in the tires does the cushioning. Riders have taken this one across the frozen Lake Baikal and through Mongolia. It's built to go where you want to go and get you back.

Prices are subject to change based on AZUB’s current pricing and economic conditions; the best and most up-to-date pricing is always available on the official AZUB configurator, and we recommend booking a Dream Trike Session with Mickey so we can review all current options together.

Who this trike is for

This one's for the rider who's done with turning around where the pavement ends. If sand, snow, gravel, or a muddy two-track has been the thing that stops your ride, the AZUB FAT rolls right over it on four inches of tire. It fits a wide range of riders, from about 4'11" up to 6'9", and carries you and your gear up to 275 pounds. You want to go where the trail gets rough and keep going. That's this trike.

Four-Inch Fat Tires That Grip

The AZUB FAT rides on 4" Schwalbe Jumbo Jim tires, and that big footprint is the whole point. All that rubber and air floats you over loose sand, packed snow, and soft trail where a skinny tire would dig in and stop. Where other trikes turn around, this one keeps rolling.

Built Tough, Made to Last

Look close and you'll see red anodized rims made in Italy, drilled with two rows of holes to shed weight without giving up strength, riding on hubs with sealed industrial bearings. These are the parts that get you across a frozen lake and back. Simple, tough, and made to take a beating year after year.

Rigid Frame, Air-Sprung Ride

There's no suspension to service here, and that's on purpose. The stiff frame keeps every watt going to the wheels when you're hauling gear, while the huge air volume in those fat tires does the cushioning, so rough ground gets soaked up without a shock to maintain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sand, snow, mud, gravel, and loose trail, the ground that stops a normal trike. Riders have taken the FAT across the frozen Lake Baikal in Siberia and through Mongolia. Those 4" Schwalbe Jumbo Jim tires spread your weight out so you float over soft ground instead of sinking into it. On regular pavement it rolls fine too. It's simply built to keep going when the trail turns rough.
No, and that's by design. It runs a rigid, non-suspended frame. The fat tires carry so much air that they cushion the ride on their own, so you get a smooth roll over rough ground without any shocks or pivots to maintain. It keeps the trike simple, stiff, and dependable when you're miles from anywhere.
You can. Folding is available as an option. On the FAT you pop the rear wheel off and fold it down to about 36 by 49 by 30 inches, small enough to load into most vehicles. If transport is a concern for you, mention it when we talk and we'll make sure it's set up the way you need.
It fits riders from about 4'11" up to 6'9", with shorter and taller options available if you fall outside that range. It'll carry you plus your gear up to 275 pounds. This is a trike built to be loaded up for a real trip, not just a spin around the block.
You can. It's offered with premium electric-assist systems from Bosch and Shimano. On a fat-tire trike a motor is a nice thing to have when you're pushing through deep sand or soft snow, since that terrain takes more effort than pavement. On your Dream Trike Session we'll sort out whether assist makes sense for where you ride.
