The efficient and versatile Active Line Plus electric-assist drive mated to a 1 x 11 drivetrain (11 - 42 cassette / 44 tooth chainring) provides dynamic performance – guaranteeing an authentic riding sensation with minimal pedaling resistance. It delivers active and sporty acceleration even at low cadences, offering powerful assistance as soon as you step on the pedals. In addition, the system’s multi-sensor technology and fast information processing ensure optimum interaction between you and your eCAT.

How far can the eCAT Trail go on one charge?

The Bosch 400Wh battery is rated up to 62 miles. Real range depends on how much assist you ask for, the hills, and your weight, but for most riders that's plenty for a full day out and then some.

Does the motor have a throttle?

No. The Bosch Active Line Plus is a pedal-assist motor. You pedal, it reads how hard you're working through its sensors, and it adds a smooth push up to 20 mph. It feels like your legs got stronger, not like a scooter.

Can I still fold it and put it in my car?

Yes. The Trail frame folds without taking the seat off, and small wheels let you roll it once it's folded. Folded it's about 43 inches long, so it fits in a lot of hatchbacks and SUVs.

How tall do I need to be to fit it?

The adjustable boom sets the leg reach to your X-seam, with a range of about 39 to 46 inches, so it fits a wide span of riders. On a Dream Trike Session we'll check your measurements and make sure it's right before anything ships.
