The Villager eCAT is the Catrike I put people on when getting in and out is the worry.
The seat sits at 12.5 inches, per Catrike. That's a lot higher than most trikes. You're not dropping down to the ground and you're not fighting your way back up. I have a bad back myself. L4 and L5 are flat. So I pay attention to how a trike gets you in and out.
The seat adjusts from 47 to 58 degrees, so you can sit more upright. Ground clearance is 5.5 inches.
Here's the big change. Catrike moved the eCAT line to the Bosch Performance Line. That's 75 Nm of torque, up from 50 Nm.
That means a lot less work on the hills. You still pedal. The motor matches what you do.

If swinging a leg over an upright is the part that stops you, the Villager fixes it first. It sits with the highest, most upright seat of any Catrike, so you sit down into it like a chair instead of folding yourself onto the ground. Bad knees, a stiff back, a little trouble with balance, none of that keeps you off this one. You settle in, the electric assist takes the edge off the hills, and you ride as far as the day lets you.
